  Tulsa Technology Center, Premier Career Tech recognized nationally, Tulsa , OK (1995 to 2003)

Photography Instructor – Set up a leading edge photography laboratory that is recognized as one of the best in the state of Oklahoma .  Managed the budget and procured the equipment necessary to implement an awarding winning program to supply the professional Photography needs of Tulsa , OK and numerous States. Wrote curriculum for all levels of photography. Taught students age 15 to 38 years old in a program with transferable college credit.

  Students’ Successes…for 2002-2003…

  Chase Carver: Was the camera operator for Cloud Nine Production for the Tulsa Technology Center TV commercial. Received 3rd place in Nature Works.  He also received 3 Gold metals and 1 last year for TU ART Scholastics ( Quartz Mountain video program and won best cinematographer).  He has also won many ribbons at the Tulsa State fair 2 years in a row.

  Margo Hoover:  TU Art Scholastic Regional Gold Portfolio award, all 8 were Gold also for 2002.  Have many photographs in Urban Tulsa and Tulsa World Satellite.

  Anesha Rodrigues: Band photographer with images published in Guitar World and Alternative Press; also many images in the Tulsa World Satellite paper.

  Derick Smith: Won 1st place for Tulsa Nature Works.

Laura Cooper: Won 2 Gold and Gold Regional Portfolio for TU Art Scholastics 2002. Numerous photographic images in the Tulsa World Satellite paper. She has also placed many times in the Tulsa state fair.

  Jennifer Hoppa:  Won 2 Gold and Gold Regional Portfolio for TU Art Scholastics 2002, won 2 Silver National awards in Scholastic Art. Many photographic images in the Tulsa World Satellite paper. Jennifer has also been nominated for Quartz Mountain photography program 2002. She has received many ribbons in the Tulsa State fair two years in a row.

  Julia Wyatt: Has been assisting at Steve Erin Studio’s for a year and is now a photographer for a new “top secret” magazine coming out this summer.

  Alexis Sanders graduated in 2002 and went to OK Christian University and presented her portfolio to the amazement of the professor and in a few months ended up running the school yearbook and newspaper and received a $5000.00 scholarship towards her education.

Lisa Anderson went to Oral Roberts University and submitted her course work and portfolios with exhibition and was the first to receive 18 college credits for Tulsa Technology Center Photography program. Lisa has also been a photographer for weddings, Church on the Move (brochures) and other church organizations even in New Orleans .

  Eric Harrison went to Colorado Christian College in Colorado Springs 2002 and showed her work/portfolio to the director of the college and is now, as a freshman, the campus photographer for the magazine and paper.

  Four students applied and were accepted to Brooks Institute in California , all after one year at Tulsa Technology Center . Only 2% of the applicants get into Brooks: Kate Cole in 2000, Sandra Howell in 2002, and Emily Ellis and Becky Shannon in 2003.

  SKILLS USA 2003 National contest: Two students went to compete against the nation’s best in SKILLS Photography, Erin Foster won 4th in the nation in the post secondary area and Chase Carver won 5th in the nation in the secondary area; he also received the trophy for the best image for the whole competition.
